A fabulous makeover is something that we can never get enough of. Pros are skilled at creating design magic, whether turning a retro bathroom into something beautiful or giving a bedroom a new look.

“This family wanted their waterfront home to reflect Florida’s lifestyle. But they also wanted it to feel like a year-round residence, not too beachy,” interior designer Libby Langdon states. They didn’t make any structural changes to the living room. We kept the limestone fireplace stone and original paneling intact. However, we quickly updated the decor with a seafoam green wall painting!
Langdon states that the room had a “cluttered” feel, and there was no flow. We started by replacing the oak floors that were old and in poor condition. Then we made some changes to the walls and furniture to brighten the space.
Langdon notes that the goal was to blur lines and create a central color and design flow between indoor and outdoor spaces. It was a great help that my clients shared their travel inspiration, from nautical lamps to coastal rug designs. This became my springboard and helped me create a plan that was unique to them.
